'The Wasteland' RHS Chelsea

We do a lot of work with Kate Gould for her design company Kate Gould Gardens. The Wasteland was a spectacular show garden at RHS Chelsea 2013 and inspired by Kate’s personal experiences working in and around the city of London. Designed as a community space imagined on an abandoned industrial site, the garden makes use of the harsh industrial materials already in place and softens them with planting, water features and trees. This garden won a GOLD medal and attracted a great deal of interest from the media as it demonstrated what could be done to transform similar waste ground in inner city areas.
